Tournear confident SDA budget will remain stable in FY-22

The head of the Space Development Agency said this week he expects the Defense Department's fiscal year 2022 budget request will support the funding needs forecasted in FY-21 without any "significant reshuffling." The agency's funding request jumped from about $95 million in FY-20 for research and development to $290 million in FY-21, and the future years defense program called for $7.5 billion through FY-25.
