Trump administration officials pledge 'streamlined' arms sales to boost defense industry

Trump administration officials said today the government has embarked on a new era in foreign military sales to boost the U.S. defense industry and maintain global influence amid the rise of China and resurgence of Russia. Tina Kaidanow, acting assistant secretary of state for political-military affairs, said new implementation plans for conventional arms transfers would prioritize strategic and economic competition.
