Trump signs Space Force into law, names Raymond chief of space operations

President Trump tonight signed the Fiscal Year 2020 National Defense Authorization Act, officially establishing the United States Space Force as the sixth military service, and appointed Gen. Jay Raymond as the first chief of space operations. Trump announced Raymond’s appointment during a signing ceremony at Andrews Air Force Base, MD.
