Tyndall AFB preferred to host new MQ-9 wing in 2020s

Tyndall Air Force Base, FL, is next in line to receive a wing of 24 MQ-9 Reaper aircraft, the Air Force announced Tuesday night. If service Secretary Heather Wilson approves the decision once an environmental analysis completes, the base will gain an MQ-9 operations group with mission control and launch-and-recovery stations as well as a maintenance group.
