Unexpected Loss of Small Door Prompts V-22 Landing

The first newly configured V-22 Osprey arrived at Patuxent River, MD, three days late this week because an access door on the right-hand nacelle broke off and damaged a vertical stabilizer in flight, leading to a precautionary landing in Arkansas on Aug. 17.
