U.S. and China Hold Maritime Meetings in Shanghai

A high-level delegation from U.S. Pacific Command and Chinese defense officials today opened a new round of maritime safety talks in Shanghai, a Defense Department spokesman said. U.S. and Chinese officials are scheduled to meet from April 10 - 12. These sessions constitute the 2002 plenary meeting under the 1998 Military Maritime Consultative Agreement (MMCA) between the two countries. Rear Adm.
