U.S. Military Plans Kabul 'Call Center' For Reporting Makeshift Bombs

Pentagon officials plan to establish a national “call center” in the Afghan capital of Kabul for collecting reports on improvised explosive devices encountered across the country. U.S. Central Command is looking for a contractor to run the facility around the clock, 365 days per year, according to a Nov. 4 announcement on the Federal Business Opportunities website.
