VCNO: Navy hopes to receive budget guidance within 30 to 90 days after Trump takes office

The Navy is hoping to receive guidance on the fiscal year 2018 budget from President-elect Donald Trump’s administration within 30 to 90 days after it takes office, according to the vice chief of naval operations. Adm. Bill Moran told reporters Jan. 10 after his presentation at the Surface Navy Association's annual symposium in Arlington, VA, the FY-18 budget request is "lying flat right now."
