Wilson: USAF needs $750M in FY-19 to recover Tyndall AFB

The recovery of Tyndall Air Force Base, FL, devastated by Hurricane Michael last October, will require $750 million in supplemental funding in fiscal year 2019, according to Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson. "We've now used about $410 million for Tyndall in operations and maintenance funds and we expect by the end of this year, it's going to be about $750 million for recovery," Wilson told reporters after a Senate Appropriations defense subcommittee hearing on the Air Force's FY-20 budget request...
