Wynne Signs Memo Revising V-22 Acquisition Plan

Michael Wynne, the Pentagon's acting acquisition executive, has signed a memo that codifies his decision to curtail near-term production of the V-22 Osprey while boosting funding to equip Ospreys with the latest communication gear. In the Aug. 8 memo to the Navy, Air Force, U.S. Special Operations Command and the Joint Staff, Wynne finalizes a decision he reached behind closed doors July 31 in a Defense Acquisition Board meeting.
