Young: Navy Command Ship Replacement Capability Should be Fielded Ashore

The Navy should not opt to buy two expensive new command ships and should instead field the capability ashore, Pentagon acquisition chief John Young told reporters this morning. The Navy recently launched a study of its options for the LCC(R). The command ship program has been referred to by the Navy as JCC(X), with the "J" emphasizing the joint aspect of the program.
