DOD directive on planning for presidential transitions

The Aug. 30, 2022 Defense Department directive "establishes policy for the transfer of authority from outgoing to incoming senior officials during the transition between Presidential administrations or in the course of other personnel actions including, but not limited to, reassignment, retirement, or resignation."
