DOD final rule on follow-on production contracts

In a May 25, 2023 final rule published in the Federal Register, the Defense Department amends the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement "to permit the award of a follow-on production contract without the use of competitive procedures, even if explicit notification was not listed within the request for proposal for the prototype project transaction."
