Esper letter on nuclear weapons modernization funding

Defense Secretary Mark Esper, in a Sept. 11, 2020 letter to the House and Senate Armed Services committees, said he had "strong concerns" with provisions in the House's fiscal year 2021 defense authorization and appropriations bills that, in his view, put the Pentagon nuclear modernization program at "unacceptable risk."
