Kendall letter to Sen. McCain on the F-35 program

In a Dec. 19, 2016, letter to Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John McCain (R-AZ), Pentagon acquisition chief Frank Kendall writes that the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program would need to undergo a seven-month delay of the system development and demonstration phase along with a $500 million cost overrun.
