Lawmakers' letter on Iran war amendment

In an Aug. 1, 2019 letter, Reps. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Matt Gaetz (R-FL) as well as Sens. Tom Udall (D-NM), Rand Paul (R-KY), Tim Kaine (D-VA), Mike Lee (R-UT), Jeff Merkley (D-OR), Susan Collins (R-ME), Chris Murphy (D-CT), Mazie Hirono (D-HI), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Martin Heinrich (D-NM) and Benjamin Cardin (D-MD) call on the House and Senate Armed Services committees to include a bipartisan amendment to prohibit "unconstitutional war" with Iran in the final fiscal year 2020 defense authorization conference bill.
