McCain letter to Lockheed CEO on the F-35 program

In a Jan. 10, 2017, letter, Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John McCain (R-AZ) calls on Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson to reconcile her recent statement that her company was "ready to deliver" lower costs for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program despite the Defense Department notifying Congress of a seven-month delay of the system development and demonstration phase along with a $500 million cost overrun.
