Pentagon sends Congress legislative proposals; seeks new F-35 authority

The Pentagon has submitted a package of legislative proposals to Congress, one of which seeks authority to enter into one or more economic order quantity contracts in fiscal year 2018 for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. The EOQ authority would apply to F-35 material and equipment for use in procurement contracts to be awarded between FY-19 and FY-20 and may not exceed $661 million.
