Army prepares next Black Hawk multiyear contract

The Defense Department has certified a new multiyear procurement for the UH-60M Black Hawk, and the Army expects to award the contract within the next week. James MacStravic, the acting under secretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics, informed the leaders of the congressional defense committees of the certification in a May 31 letter. According to MacStravic, the Pentagon's office of cost assessment and program evaluation determined the deal would provide a 13.7 percent contract savings over single-year procurements...
