Jette: Army acquisition reform comes down to fewer restrictions

Commercial vendors are being scared off by the government's "onerous" rules, according to the Army's acquisition executive. Bruce Jette, assistant secretary of the Army for acquisition, logistics and technology, told the House Armed Services Committee March 7 he is pushing for more freedoms to increase the number of government contractors and speed up the acquisition process.
