Jette backs congressional reform efforts, Army modernization changes

The nominee to serve as the next Army acquisition executive advocated last week for funding stability, acquisition reform and greater accountability to support the service's modernization goals. Bruce Jette told the Senate Armed Services Committee during a Nov. 9 nomination hearing the service has to reform its own acquisition processes, echoing comments from Mark Esper during his own nomination hearing the previous week for the post of Army secretary. Chairman John McCain (R-AZ) blasted the Army over "nearly $50 billion"...
