Navistar Nabs Nearly $370M For Medium-Size Trucks For Afghanistan

The Army awarded Navistar Defense a $368.9 million foreign military sale contract to build Medium Tactical Vehicles for Afghanistan, according to a Defense Department announcement last week. The Aug. 31 notice states the service awarded the Lisle, IL-based company a firm-fixed-price FMS contract for 2,293 of the vehicles. Work will be performed in West Point, MS; Ooltewah, TN; Marion, WI; Springfield, OH; and Mercer, PA, with completion expected Nov. 30, 2019.
