Perna: AAE memo provides 'freedom of maneuver' for contracting

The Army acquisition executive has "partnered with" Army Materiel Command to implement contracting changes designed to improve efficiency, according to AMC's commanding general. Gen. Gustave Perna told Inside the Army in an Oct. 11 interview that Steffanie Easter, the official performing the duties of AAE, has "signed a policy letter" intended to remove superfluous elements of the contracting process.
