U.S., Allied Navies Conducting Air And Missile-Defense Exercise

The U.S. and eight other NATO navies have begun a month-long, sea-based exercise off the coast of northwest Scotland to demonstrate coalition-level capabilities to simultaneously defeat air and missile threats. The exercise, called ASD-15, is taking place at the Hebrides Range in conjunction with the bi-annual Joint Warrior Exercise, according to Navy spokeswoman Cmdr. Pamela Rawe.
