Marine Corps, Navy Finalize Plan For Resetting Heavy-Lift Helicopters

The Navy anticipates spending an average of $1.5 million per aircraft in resetting all 149 CH-53E heavy-lift helicopters in the Marine Corps inventory over the course of three years, according to a program official. Officials from Marine Corps headquarters, Naval Supply Systems Command, the Defense Logistics Agency, and the CH-53 program office convened earlier this month to develop a "detailed plan" for the CH-53E reset effort, according to Col.
