Navy may have to stop work on Knifefish due to lack of funds

The Navy may have to issue a stop-work order for Knifefish, a vital component of the Littoral Combat Ship mine countermeasures mission package, because the program office is running out of money, Inside the Navy has learned. The funds are needed to keep the program on track to reach milestone C. If the program does not obtain additional monies it will have to stop work and lose key industry personnel.
