MARSOC AIMS TO SECURE KEY ROLE IN TRANS-SAHARA, NORTH AFRICA

The Marine Corps' cadre of special operations troops expects to be deployed on a continual basis to North Africa and the Trans-Sahara to support regional strategic initiatives led by U.S. Africa Command's special operations directorate, according to a senior service official.
