POWELL: OBAMA TEAM FACES CHALLENGES IN DOD INDUSTRIAL POLICY

The new administration must overcome industrial policy hurdles to foster more competition in the defense industry, buy more commercial products for the military and better enable U.S. companies to competitively export items, Defense Department official Gary Powell told Inside the Pentagon last week. Powell is the Pentagon's assistant deputy under secretary of defense for industrial policy.
