Acorn Growth acquires Black Sage

Private-equity firm Acorn Growth Companies this week said it has acquired Black Sage Technologies, which develops, integrates and deploys counter-unmanned aircraft system technologies.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Boise, ID, Black Sage offers hardware-agnostic technology, Acorn Growth said. The company's customers include the Pentagon, other U.S. government agencies, prime contractors and military and government customers abroad.

Acorn Growth, which is exclusively focused on aerospace, defense and intelligence companies, told Inside Defense last month it was preparing to make about six more investments this year.
