AE Industrial Partners merges NuWave Solutions and PCI Strategic Management

NuWave Solutions and PCI Strategic Management, both owned by private-equity firm AE Industrial Partners, said today they have merged to form BigBear.ai.

AEI acquired NuWave in June and PCI in October.

The newly merged company will be led by chief executive Reggie Brothers, who was CEO of NuWave, and Sean Battle, who was CEO of PCI and will now be vice chairman and chief strategy officer.

BigBear.ai, which is headquartered in Columbia, MD, specializes in artificial intelligence, data science, offensive and defensive cyber, data management and cloud, among other areas. It counts among its customers intelligence agencies, the Pentagon and other U.S. government agencies.
