Aerojet Rocketdyne said today it has named Amy Gowder chief operating officer, effective immediately.

She replaces Mark Tucker, who has opted to retire at the end of this year, the company said.

Gowder was most recently general manager of Lockheed Martin’s training and logistics solutions business within its rotary and mission systems unit.

“In her new role with Aerojet Rocketdyne, Gowder will lead the company’s Centers of Excellence with a focus on ensuring that they deliver value to customers and shareholders, continuously improve, and strengthen Aerojet Rocketdyne’s world-class operations,” Aerojet Rocketdyne said.
