Microlocation company Humatics Corp. said today it has completed its series A financing round, which included participation from Airbus Ventures, Lockheed Martin Ventures and others.
The $18 million round was led by venture capital firm Fontinalis Partners.
"The company will use proceeds from the financing to develop and commercialize the company's high-precision microlocation system and analytics software," known as its Spatial Intelligence Platform, Humatics said.
"A single Humatics system, using simple, inexpensive radio-frequency technology, can pinpoint multiple, moving transponder targets at ranges up to thirty meters with millimeter-scale precision," the company added. "These systems can network together to provide broader, ultra-precise positioning coverage -- from factory work cells to entire distribution centers and beyond."
