Alion hires Borkey, promotes Zember

Alion Science and Technology said this week it has named Todd Borkey, a former Thales executive, to serve as chief technology officer.

Borkey was CTO and vice president of systems solutions at Thales Defense & Security. He also previously served as an executive at DRS Defense Solutions and Northrop Grumman.

Christopher Zember, who previously served as Alion's CTO, has been named to the newly created role of chief strategy officer. He "will be responsible for corporate strategy, with a particular emphasis on advanced technology and engineering solutions," Alion said.

Zember previously was director of the Center for Technology and National Security Policy at National Defense University. He jointed Alion as CTO a year ago.
