Applied Insight reorganizes leadership team

Applied Insight is announcing today that its chief technology officer, Dede Dascalu, is now its chief executive.

John Hynes, the previous CEO, becomes executive chairman, while Benjamin Laibson, the CEO of Digital Age Experts, which was acquired last year by Applied Insight, is the company's new chief product officer.

Additionally, Applied Insight has named Adam Gruber, formerly director of engineering at aiLabs, CTO and Josh Tambor chief financial officer.

In a call with Inside Defense, Hynes said the company spent last year integrating its acquisitions, but that work is largely complete.

Now, he said, the company won’t be focusing on acquisitions and will be instead pursuing organic growth.

During the same call, Descalu said he plans to expand aiLabs and roll out a new training program.
