The Army will discuss modernization of its logistics processes and procedures at an industry roundtable in late April, the Next-Generation Combat Vehicle Cross-Functional Team announced Feb. 8.

"Government briefers will provide insight on current efforts to modernize logistics policy, processes, and capabilities," the announcement said. "Industry will have an opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions, and for Government and Industry to have shared dialogue to help solve and inform logistics modernization efforts and efficiencies."

Potential topics to be discussed include Product Support Management and Prognostics and Predictive Maintenance; the planning of logistics and sustainment management; and the execution of logistics contracts.

"The roundtable should delve into the state of the logistics community and uncover whether change is needed to overcome challenges that are problematic to the government, contractors, and products for our soldiers," the announcement stated.

In addition to representatives of the NGCV CFT, the Program Executive Office for Ground Combat Systems, Training and Doctrine Command and the Ground Vehicles Systems Center will participate.

The roundtable will be held as a virtual call "on or around" April 20, the announcement stated. Companies that wish to participate must register by March 8.
