The Army's product manager for unmanned ground vehicles is starting a project to add capabilities, payloads and updates to existing robotic systems, specifically the Man Transportable Robotic System Inc. II and Common Robotic System-Heavy, according to a recent notice.

"This effort may include but is not limited to performing technical studies pertaining to the integration of various payloads/capabilities onto the MTRS and CRS-H platforms; performing physical, electrical, and software updates; incorporating requirements; and managing updates to the programs," an industry notice posted today says.

The service wants to know vendors' familiarity with several systems, ability to perform technical feasibility studies about the integration of payloads without accessing the technical data packages of the base robotic systems, and experience with payload integration.

Responses are due June 29.
