The Army has released a request for information on the service's positioning, navigation and timing reference architecture.

According to a Jan. 8 Army notice, the service is looking for industry feedback on feasibility and ability to implement the reference architecture, which "will guide and constrain product manager level design and procurement for all materiel solutions that consume, provide or host PNT information."

The notice states the reference architecture will define interface standards and provide guidance for software development in the Army's PNT systems. Army acquisition executive Bruce Jette signed the RA for the service last summer.

Responses are due Feb. 7.
