The Army has issued a market survey for autonomous cyber defense capabilities to defend its tactical networks.

The Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate seeks "to develop autonomous cyber defenses for the tactical networks and communications that are driven by artificial intelligence and machine learning," the Jan. 14 notice states.

"The cyber technology will secure automated network decisions and defend against adaptive autonomous cyber attackers at machine speed," according to the survey.

The service "envisions a combination of multiple products that" could detect vulnerabilities, network misconfigurations, malware samples and collaborate with a human-in-the-loop interface.
