Battelle said today that Lou Von Thaer, who resigned as DynCorp International's chief executive this week, will serve as Battelle's next president and CEO, effective Oct. 1.
He will succeed Jeff Wadsworth, who has served as Battelle's CEO since January 2009 and is retiring.
"Wadsworth is retiring after serving two additional years beyond his original retirement date to ensure strength of operations, implementation of a long-term growth strategy, and an orderly succession planning process," Battelle said. "He will assist Von Thaer with the leadership transition through the end of the year and will consult on projects for the company as needed."
Von Thaer has led DynCorp since 2015. He previously worked as an executive at General Dynamics.
