Bombardier has filed its second bid protest against the Air Force's effort to move EC-130H Compass Call equipment to a new platform, according to the Government Accountability Office.

Lt. Gen. Arnold Bunch, the Air Force's military deputy for acquisition, confirmed the protest to reporters at a House Armed Services tactical air and land forces subcommittee hearing Wednesday.

Bombardier entered its protest with GAO May 26, and the congressional watchdog will rule on the case Sept. 5, according to GAO.

GAO dismissed the company's initial protest March 10.

Boeing also protested the Air Force's acquisition strategy to choose L3 Technologies as the lead services integrator for the Compass Call cross-deck effort May 19. That decision is due from GAO Aug. 28.
