Defense Trade Advisory Group to meet next month

The State Department's Defense Trade Advisory Group will meet virtually next month to discuss an International Traffic in Arms Regulations provision and other topics.

According to a Federal Register notice posted this morning, the meeting will take place May 20.

"The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss current defense trade issues and topics for further study," the notice reads.

Among other topics, the meeting will specifically discuss recommendations for revising International Traffic in Arms Regulations and developing comprehensive ITAR citations to assist companies and universities in developing "robust compliance programs."
