Peraton said today it has reorganized its business units after acquiring Northrop Grumman's IT services business.

The company will now operate with four business sectors: space and intelligence, cyber mission, global defense and security as well as civil and health.

The space and intelligence business will be led by Roger Mason, who previously led the space, intelligence and cyber business at Peraton. The company said the Northrop unit will bring "several new marquee programs" to this sector.

The cyber mission business, which specializes in full-spectrum cyber, information operations and technical solutions for intelligence, defense and civil agencies, will be headed by Tom Afferton, the former vice president of defense and intelligence at Northrop.

Peraton said the global defense and security sector has significantly expanded its work with the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security with the addition of the Northrop unit. John Coleman, who oversaw Peraton's defense and homeland security unit, will lead this sector.

Finally, the civil and health business focuses on technology for human services agencies as well as military, civilian, state and local customers, among others. Tarik Reyes, previously vice president of civil and health at Northrop, will head this unit.

Peraton also said it has created three new executive leadership roles. Erik Buice, formerly sector vice president and general manager of Northrop's information solutions and services division, has been named chief performance officer.

Chris Valentino, previously vice president for information warfare and cyber survivability at Northrop, is now chief strategy officer, while Laila Salguero, who oversaw corporate responsibility at Peraton, is now chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer.
