Former NSC official joins lobbying firm

Lobbying firm Ballard Partners said today it has hired Alex Gray, a former National Security Council chief of staff.

Gray served as deputy assistant to the president and NSC chief of staff from September 2019 to January 2021, Ballard said. Before that, he was director for Indo-Pacific security and Oceania at the NSC and a special assistant to the president for the defense industrial base.

Gray will remain managing partner of advisory firm American Global Strategies.
