Gitlin elected to Boeing board

Boeing's board of directors today announced it has elected David Gitlin as its newest member.

Gitlin will join the Aerospace Safety Committee and the Finance Committee, according to a company statement.

Gitlin is chairman and chief executive officer of Carrier. Prior to that, he was president and chief operating officer of Collins Aerospace Systems and before that was president of UTC Aerospace Systems.
