'Hack the Air Force' event announced

The Air Force announced this week it will invite computer security specialists to participate in a "Hack the Air Force" event from May 30 through June 23 as part of a larger campaign to "further operationalize" the cyber domain.

The event builds on the "Hack the Pentagon" program held last April by expanding participation from just U.S. citizens to hackers from the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The Pentagon event drew 1,400 hackers and generated nearly 200 reports within its first six hours.
