Harker confirmed as Navy comptroller

The Senate yesterday confirmed by voice vote Thomas Harker to serve as assistant secretary of the Navy for financial management and comptroller.

Harker previously served as associate deputy assistant secretary of financial policy for the Department of Veterans Affairs. He retired from active duty as a Coast Guard commander in 2012.
