Harris says it will spend more than one-third of its IRAD budget in Florida

Harris Corp. said today it plans to spend more than $125 million in internal research and development this fiscal year in Florida.

The work will primarily take place at its central Florida locations and focus on areas including electronic warfare, robotics, avionics and smallsats, the company said.

"The region will receive over a third of the company's overall $300 million-plus annual internal R&D budget," Harris said.
