The head of the Pentagon's Protecting Critical Technology Task Force is concerned "transparency in contracts" is giving U.S. competitors too much information about where critical military technologies are developed.

A provision in the fiscal year 2020 defense authorization legislation is zeroing in on Pentagon services data:

New law requires DOD to submit services contract data for inclusion in five-year budget

New defense authorization legislation requires the Defense Department to begin annually submitting data to Congress on the amount it spends for contracted services so the information can be included in the Pentagon's five-year budget projections.

The Navy is working to understand potential hardware commonality between its Future Vertical Lift program and the Marine Air Ground Task Force Unmanned Expeditionary effort:

Navy to finish Future Vertical Lift Maritime Strike AOA by end of FY-22

The Navy plans to complete an analysis of alternatives on its Future Vertical Lift Maritime Strike capability by the conclusion of fiscal year 2022.

Army Lt. Gen. Eric Wesley met earlier this month with National Reconnaissance Office officials as the service weighs relying on intelligence agency satellites:

Meanwhile, the Marine Corps is preparing to test the CH-53K King Stallion in summer 2020:
