This Friday INSIDER Daily Digest features news on the potential budgetary and programmatic effects of a continuing resolution, the Navy's MQ-25 Stingray unmanned aerial vehicle program, plus more coverage of this week's AFA conference.

The Defense Department early this morning warned of certain programs that would be impacted if a continuing resolution is adopted:

Boeing last night announced that the company's MQ-25 Stingray prototype, dubbed T1, has completed its first test flight.

While the Air Force Association's annual conference has concluded, we still have news coming out of it:

Aiming to tap into technology innovation occurring in industry and academia, Air Force acquisition executive Will Roper may soon empower AFWERX -- a hub that promotes a startup culture among airmen -- with the authority to award contracts on behalf of the service.

Roper calls ERWn negotiations 'spectacular learning event,' a 'good failure'

The collapse of a planned $661 million Air Force and Missile Defense Agency project to develop an air-launched, guided missile interceptor that promised to chase down and destroy enemy intercontinental ballistic missiles immediately after launch was a "spectacular learning event" and a "good failure," according to a senior Pentagon official.

The Air Force has withheld approximately $532 million from Boeing on the 19 KC-46 tankers the contractor has delivered and is considering adding more "pressure" should the company fail to deliver a redesigned remote vision system on time.
