KC-46 tanker refueled another KC-46

Boeing announced this week that its tanker test team recently refueled a KC-46 tanker from another KC-46 tanker.

During the four-hour flight, the two aircraft transferred 38,100 pounds of fuel.

The flight also helps move the program toward the next phase of certification and compliance testing, Boeing said in an Oct. 11 press release.

As the program continues its flight testing program, the Air Force predicts Boeing will deliver its first tankers late next spring.
